






















Due to increased customer demand and required services we are constantly looking to expand our Mackay team. We have a combination of workshop and local site work available. This includes work at the local sugar mills, fuel terminals, ports and at our workshop located in Paget.
Origin Group is frequently hiring the following positions:
Experienced trade qualified boilermakers and fabricators who are competent working with steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The ideal candidate must have proven fabrication experience, a strong commitment to safety a maintaining a safe work environment as well as the ability to work alone or in a team environment.
Experienced trade qualified mechanical fitters with a strong mechanical background. The ideal candidate must have an Australian recognised mechanical fitter trade certificate and high attention to detail and quality control. The candidate must have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Qualified riggers with rigging/dogging experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely lifting, moving and securing heavy equipment or materials using cranes, hoists and other rigging equipment. They must have a thorough understanding of rigging techniques, load capacities and safety protocols to ensure that the equipment or materials are lifted and moved efficiently and securely.
Trade assistants assist the team with general maintenance, pickup and deliveries, and general housekeeping in the workshop and yard. The ideal candidate must have experience using a variety of hand tools and a current light/medium truck licence and forklift licence. This role reports directly toto the workshop supervisor and works closes with the maintenance team in the workshop.
Project coordinators assist with large scale projects and maintenance jobs in the mechanical and structural field. The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to submitting tenders and request for quotes, project ownership throughout the project, providing technical advice and assistance to a team of tradesmen, riggers and trade assistants.
Project managers/estimators assist the management team with coordinating large scale construction projects, quoting of small and large projects and developing existing and new customer relationships. The ideal candidate will need an understanding of projects costs and relevant trade background (mechanical or fabrication).
Site supervisors are required to provide assistance with local site work and services. This is a hands-on role and would suit someone with a sound knowledge of mechanical install practices. Site supervisors are responsible for supervision of a small crew, quoting small and large projects, customer relations, scheduling of daily tasks, ensuing all work is completed to a high standard and maintaining and promoting a safe working environment.
